Mobile service camp in Rolpa concludes

    THABANG (ROLPA), JUN 25 -
    Hundreds of local people have availed of various services provided by an integrated mobile service camp in Thabang. The three-day mobile service camp, organised by local administrations, provided services like distribution of citizenship cards, seeds of various crops and voter list registration.
    The Nepal Army also set up a health camp, providing free medication and health services to locals. The army said more than 3,000 people from Thabang, surrounding VDCs and some VDCs of Rukum benefitted of the services. The health camp provided free treatments for heart disease, cataract, gynecology and neurology among others. The army interacted with locals on development, peace and security issues in the village. The mobile service camp concluded on June 24.
    The Chitwan-based Clinic Nepal donated the free medicines, while doctors from the College of Medical Sciences and Bharatpur Eye Hospital volunteered at the health camp.
    The Rolpa-based Devidatta Battalion army also constructed infrastructures for schools and installed water taps in the villages.
    Jaya Prakash Rokamagar, joint secretary of CPN-Maoist in Rolpa stated that the local people were pleased with the facilities provided during the three-day health camp.
