This is Kashiram Dangi, a journalist . I do correspond to Kantipur Daily and The Kathmandu Post (Nepal’s largest selling Nepali and English Newspapers) of Kantipur Publications . Staying in Rolpa District of western Nepal, I am working in this media since more than one decade long..
Rolpa is a Origin land of Maoist Insurgency since 1996 . The Maoists had simultaneously announced From Rolpa, Rukum, Gorkha and Sindhuli,”Peoples’ War”. So far as I have started
journalism working from Rolpa the same time. Rolpa, which is still most affected because of conflict, the war. Due to war, Rolpa became as famous place over the world, including Thaban, a VDC of Rolpa. when i started to work in the media, it was totally dangerous time in Rolpa.
So, being a correspondent of news paper, that was a good chance to work but everywhere there was very dangerous situation. It was so dangerous to live, to speak, to study, to travel. During the crossfire between government and rebel fighters, i felt many times the bullets and weapons were on my body.
Now, i am so happy because i succeeded to live. I am living and working as journalist. So, for being a journalist from very remote area of Nepal, i am felling happy to be here. I am working at my homeland since long time .
In the starring time, there was no school of Journalism. so i did not get chance to study my favorite profession journalism. After many years, i started to study journalism as higher education. Now i am student of Masters in Media Technology (MMT) at Purbanchal University. And i am also student of Diploma in Distance journalism learning at Nepal Press Institute, Nepal. I would like to say journalism is interesting job and doing and learning is also interesting
